Our Nursery is a happy, welcoming place. We are lucky to have a large, bright, purpose built building with a lovely secure garden for the children to explore. We welcome children from 2 years old until they start school. At Prince Avenue Academy and Nursery our motto is ‘Success with a Smile’ and this is evident within our nursery children. We believe that all children should have access to the best education and our dedicated team is skilled in ensuring that all children make progress and love coming to nursery each day.
Our Curriculum:
At Prince Avenue Academy and Nursery we pride ourselves on offering children exciting and varied learning opportunities. Each day children partake in circle times which support their communication and language development as well as having a literacy or numeracy focus. We also encourage and support children to learn through play, allowing them to find out for themselves, challenge their ideas and explore new activities. We understand that all children learn and progress at their own pace and are experts in supporting children in their own learning journey.
Information for new starters:
We use Class Dojo to share information about any events and activities, please ask your Room Leader for help with this if needed. You will be able to message Nursery through this app. We also use the online learning journal - Tapestry to share your child's learning and successes with you. This is completely secure and private and is a fantastic keepsake at the end of Nursery.
Each day your child will have a healthy snack, you can pay for this through the Gateway app.

The Masked Singer visits Prince Avenue Academy and Nursery
Who’s behind the mask?
That was the question on everyone’s lips at Prince Avenue when Joel Dommett and Piranha visited our Nursery as part of the DfE’s national Early Years Campaign. The campaign is aimed at encouraging more people to consider a career working with young children and it was decided that Prince Avenue was the perfect place to do this!
Piranha read Tiddler to the children while Joel worked with staff making masks and taking part in everyday early years activities and all the children and staff shone!
